Located right in the heart of London’s financial district is the imposing Lloyds Building. In 1986 when the building was only 25 years old it was listed as a Grade I building, becoming the youngest ever building to receive the listing. Interestingly just like the iconic Parisian Pompidou centre the interior of the Lloyds building is designed to be uncluttered on the inside with all services for example ductwork and electrical piping on the outside. There’s even a little Irish connection as the building was owned by an Irish estate firm for nearly ten years. Our Lloyds Building print is part of a series of open edition prints which celebrate the many forms of architecture which co-exist within the London urban ecosystem.
