O'Connell Street Print - Dublin Town

Anyone who has visited Dublin will be familiar with O’Connell Street, Dublin’s main thoroughfare and the widest street in Ireland. Although the street is lined with ornate statues of Irish heroes from Jim Larkin to Daniel O’Connell, the main focal point in recent times has been The Spire. The spire definitely divides opinions but no one can deny just how striking the sculpture is, and standing at 133 metres tall The Spire is the world’s tallest sculpture. The street will forever be associated with the 1916 Rising and although much of the street was destroyed during the rising, today you could never imagine the devastation that took place when walking down the busy street today.
