We are delighted to announce that JANDO is now a Certified B Corporation, marking a major milestone in our sustainability journey. We are proud to be the first artists and printmaking studio in Ireland to join the global B Corp™ community.
Becoming B Corp Certified has been an almost year long journey for our business. Certification is a globally renowned accolade and is one of the most established and most credible audits any business can undertake. Certification recognises our commitment to the highest environmental and social standards along with having a positive impact on our communities, customers and our team.
From day one, sustainability has been at the core of our business, with a focus on becoming as sustainable as possible by making gradual changes whenever and wherever we could. This effort accelerated after an Environmental Impact Audit in 2022, when we became a Carbon Neutral business.
We implemented numerous practical initiatives across all B Corp pillars, including prioritising sustainable practices, eliminating all plastic from our business, and recycling any introduced by third parties. We choose to source materials only from local suppliers within a 50km range of our studio and foster connections with the local community by hosting events and supporting like-minded, mission-focused creative businesses.
As one of Ireland’s leading independent printmakers, our commitment to sustainability has shaped every decision we’ve made on this journey, from sourcing eco-friendly materials to reducing waste in our production process, we have continually pushed ourselves with the goal of creating a more sustainable and a greener tomorrow.
